Too early to give an accurate review

The new formula immediately feels thicker and gives a more consistent texture and spread. However, our candle vessels showed signs of seepage with the old formula a few months after sealing, so only time will tell if this new sealer is sufficient.

New formula?

This is my 3rd time to purchase the gallon concrete sealer, previously called “Hydrodip” matte. It was great the first time, one quick dip sealed the concrete jars nicely. The 2nd order was very thinned out and had a yellow hue, which took 2 coats but still didn’t look as pretty as the first sealer. It seemed to need another coat but I didn’t have time for that. So here we are 3rd order with a new name “Candle Crete Sealer”, which is the only concrete sealer available now. It’s beautiful bright white, however it’s extremely thick like Elmer’s glue & impossible to dip. I tried adding some water to thin it out some, but I still couldn’t dip with thick consistency and ended up having to apply with a foam brush. It took hours to apply on about 30 jars! They came out pretty, but I’ll admit it was a lot of work, and I’m spoiled to the original formula. On the bright side, since it’s so thick it will last a very long time!

Love the Candle Crete Sealer

I've used the preserver sealer for years but wanted to try the new Candle Crete sealer, and I'll be buying more Candle Crete. It dries quickly, doesn't cause yellowing, and I've had absolutely no leakage with 2 coats on the inside of my candle jars. Great product!

Quick dip

In the past I used the sealant and was quite happy with the results. Unfortunately, the dip I received from my last two orders was too thick. I emailed the company but never received a response. I had placed my second order assuming that the first was a bad batch but was disappointed a second time.

Takes forever to dry

... and having to plan over a week ahead is tough. Seems to seal well so I guess that's the point.
